The Deaf Health Care and Biomedical Science Hub (Deaf Hub) invites candidates to apply for a non-tenure-track Assistant/Associate Research Professor position. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a 12-month non-tenure track position with an initial appointment period of three years, renewable annually, at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The Assistant/Associate Research Professor will report to the Executive Director of the Deaf Hub. The Assistant / Associate Research Professor will be responsible for leading externally funded research and assisting with the Deaf Hub’s mentorship programs. Areas of potential research focus include, but are not limited to, public health, preventive health, health literacy, health policy, healthcare systemic barriers, access technology, sign language interpretation and related issues affecting the deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) population in health care and biomedical settings.
