Preparing the Future STEM Faculty: Poster Abstracts

Certificate in Teaching College Biology

 

The Certificate in Teaching College Biology aims to enhance the overall professional development of graduate students in the biological and biomedical sciences by preparing them for teaching in academic venues that range from the Community College to the Research I University. Currently, nearly 70 doctoral students from biology and STEM-related disciplines are enrolled in the program including biochemistry, biomedical engineering, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neurobiology, pathology, and pharmacology. Moreover, the program includes a diverse group of faculty mentors including nearly 10 at Duke and nearly 25 from cluster institutions in the region.
