In order to better prepare STEM graduate students for faculty life and to effect a change in faculty culture by fostering a recognition of the importance of teaching as a crucial part of graduate education, the Graduate School at Syracuse University has sponsored such programs as the Future Professoriate Project (FPP), Preparing Future Faculty program (PFF), Engineering Education Scholars’ program (EES), and the Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP). This poster will describe each of these programs and present evidence of their successes.
