The University of South Carolina will present three projects currently underway. One is the Preparing Future Faculty program in the College of Science and Mathematics, which has been in operation for the past four years. This program involves various components resulting in a certificate in post-secondary teaching. The second is a Graduate Teaching Fellows in K-12 Education program. This program includes service learning in elementary and middle-school classrooms to develop the teaching skills of graduate students from the College of Engineering and Information Technology. Finally the teacher training programs organized by the Graduate School will be outlined.
