Network Exchanges abounding

Bethany Wilcox, from Colorado-Boulder has been on campus today for a Network Exchange. This is the first time Vanderbilt has hosted an exchange student and we are very pleased with the progress so far. Bethany did her disciplinary talk at lunch time today.  While the crowd wasn't huge, the people there were very interested in what she had to say and asked lots of questions.  This provoked some interesting discussions.  We're looking forward to her TAR talk this afternoon.

Leveraging Diversity: the Wisdom of Crowds in University Teaching

Derek Bruff will be facilitating a diversity workshop here at Vanderbilt on Feb. 22.  This workshop is co-hosted by the CFT and CIRTL. Derek will be  using some unusual books as the jumping off point for the discussions.  We hope this is the first of a series of these diversity-based workshops.
