The academic job interview. Exciting? Grueling? Way different from industry interviews? Yes, yes, and yes. We are talking about an interview that spans a day and a half. Teaching as Research Fellow program experience

 I had the honor of being selected for a CIRTL Teaching as Research Fellowship in 2011. As this program satisfied Cycle 3 in my Teaching Certificate at the Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching, I was particularly excited. However, I needed a great project. I didn't want to try something in the classroom and keep the results to myself. The results needed to be published so others could learn from my research.
