The College Classroom course is designed especially for graduate students and post docs in the STEM and SBE disciplines. An emphasis on a learning-centered classroom provides participants with a perspective that highlights the interconnected cycle of teaching, assessment, and learning. The course is designed around the concept of teaching-as-research (TAR). Participants have the opportunity to investigate, experience, and apply effective assessment, teaching, and learning techniques, improve their teaching in ways that meaningfully enhance student learning, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
This on-line course will be offered to students across the CIRTL Network during the fall of
2009 <http://www.cirtlcafe.net/events/courses/fall2009/cc>
