Microphone, Headphones, and Internet

Coffee Hours are hosted in Elluminate web-conferencing software. Elluminate uses Voice over IP (VoIP) for the audio component, which requires a computer/webcam microphone and headphones. Headphones are required to prevent the feedback that occurs when participants use their computer speakers for audio. These headphones can be the earbuds from your mp3 player or any other style of headphone.

If you do not have a microphone (either external, built in or as part of a headset) you can log into Elluminate and use the telephone to talk by calling 1-800-462-1257 (toll free) or 608-237-5850 (local Madison) and when prompted enter passcode: 7834425

Please review these materials to familiarize yourself with Elluminate prior to the Coffee Hour
