Connect to the Institutional Membership Q&A Session
The CIRTL Network Institutional Membership informational sessions will be hosted via toll-free teleconference and in the CIRTL Network Elluminate web-conferencing room. To attend one these sessions please follow the steps below. (Return to the CIRTL Expansion page http://www.cirtl.net/expansion.)

1.) If you have not already done so, register for a Q&A session at http://www.cirtl.net/QAsession.
2.) The audio portion of these info sessions will be handled via teleconference. Use the following numbers to connect to the teleconference. The line will be open beginning 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.

3.) This step is extremely important! To ensure that your system is prepared to connect to Elluminate, visit the Elluminate First Time User System Setup page at least 24 hours prior to the info session.
From this page, you can test your system by joining the Elluminate Configuration Room.

- You cannot test video in the Configuration Room. You will be given an opportunity to test your video in the CIRTL Elluminate room.
- The Configuration Room does not have the full functionality of the CIRTL Elluminate room.
- Google Chrome users: you may see a message on this page indicating that you do not have the Java software required to run Elluminate. This message appears even if your machine has a current Java version installed. You may check to see if your system is compatible by attempting to enter the Elluminate configuration room on from the link on this same page. If you are able to launch Elluminate then your Java is up to date. You may also visit this page in Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you receive the same message (that you do not have the Java software installed) you may need to download and install Java.
4.) On the day of the info session, use the following link to login to the Elluminate room. Login to Elluminate.
The virtual meeting room will open 2 hours before the session and teleconference bridge will open 30 minutes prior to start of session. CIRTL staff will be available for technical assistance. Please consider signing in early to confirm your connection.
This link will take you to the Elluminate participant login page. Enter your name and institution and select Login. You will then be prompted to download/open the dropin.jlp file. Open this file to access the Elluminate room.

5.) Upon entering the Elluminate room, if you have a webcam, you can test your video by clicking the Preview button. When you are satisifed with your image you may click Transmit to broadcast your video to the other meeting participants.

- Elluminate is limited to broadcasting six webcam streams simultaneously.
- For this reason, we ask that participants turn on (Transmit) their video only when speaking, and turn off their video when not speaking.
