CIRTL-Vanderbilt Resources
Center for Teaching - The existing resources of the CFT are available to any graduate student, post-doc or faculty member on the Vanderbilt campus. These resources include workshops, seminars and working groups. The staff of the CFT includes Derek Bruff, who is specifically assigned to STEM disciplines.
Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach - The CSO is working to improve science literacy in the K-12 classroom. In this effort, they partner in various ways with existing science teachers. This organization also seeks to involve graduate students from the STEM disciplines in education in the K-12 classroom.
VaNTH - VaNTH was an Engineering Research Center funded by the National Science Foundation. Its mission was to improve Bioengineering education by the creation of new methods and technologies. Many of the resources of VaNTH are still available.
STEMES Working Group - Participants in the STEMES workshop have a page for ongoing contact and information.
VIBES - An organization developed during the VaNTH K-12 outreach. VIBES is dedicated to creating an improved K-12 science curriculum materials, one unit at a time, and disseminating those materials to science teachers. This organization also specializes in sharing its methods with science teachers through workshops and an active RET program.
