Welcome to the Academic Career Learning Community!
About The Academic Career
CIRTL future faculty are committed to implementing and advancing effective teaching practices for diverse learners as part of their successful and varied careers. However, developing skills that support a career of teaching and research, identifying institutions that fit with one’s skills and interests, navigating the job search and application process, and successfully establishing a career as a new faculty is a complicated and daunting prospect. This online community provides a space where those thinking about the faculty job market or early career faculty issues, either as CIRTL graduate students, recent CIRTL alumni or as supportive faculty from CIRTL institutions can share, discuss, provide tips, and share resources.
