| Abstract | This presentation describes the collaborative development at Georgetown University of a graduate course in teaching science for teaching fellows in the Department of Biology. Over the course of three years, the course has expanded to include current enrollment of 22 graduate students from Biology, Psychology, and the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience. Innovative features of this program include visits by nationally-recognized science education scholars, including consultations on program development as well as in-class presentations; the evolution of the program to include a second-tier course in mentored teaching for advanced science graduate students; and a planned digital archive of teaching artifacts and their corresponding reflective commentaries written by course participants. |
