TAMU-CIRTL Highlights - June 2012
TAMU-CIRTL continues its commitment to graduate-through-faculty professional development (PD) via strengthening of TAMU-CIRTL programs & collaborations. A few highlights:
Collaborations with Graduate Teaching Academy (GTA): TAMU-CIRTL will continue to strengthen its collaboration with the GTA via involvement in GTA program re-design and evaluation for the upcoming GTA program year this summer.
TAMU-CIRTL GTA TAR Fellows Program: TAMU-CIRTL will award its first cohort of TAR Fellows with a Certificate fo Completion & a congratulatory e-mail to the Fellows (cc Chair, Department Head & College Dean) this summer. In addition, the TAR Fellow Faculty Mentors will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for their involvement in the TAR project for their respective TAR Fellow. Moreover, the TAMU-CIRTLSC is currently reviewing applications for next year's TAR Fellows program.
TAMU-CIRTL Post-Doctoral Professional Development Program: TAMU-CIRTL kick-started its summer program with "Navigating the Job Market" theme. Scheduled workshops cover topics such as: CV/Resume Writing; Teaching Portfolios; Networking; Lab Management; etc.
Additionally, the TAMU-CIRTLSC continues to meet this summer, to address challenges related to improving graduate-through-faculty participation in the TAMU-CIRTL and other PD programs.
