Monday Oct 22: CIRTLCast: “Active, hands-on learning in large lecture classes”

CIRTL is pleased to kick off the 2012-13 CIRTLCast series this Monday, October 22 at 1pm Central time, with “Active, hands-on learning in large lecture classes.” Come hear the University of Houston’s Simon Bott share his experience teaching large (and popular) standing-room-only introductory chemistry classes. Dr. Bott, who was selected by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation as a Piper Professor of 2012 for excellence in teaching, will discuss the methods and strategies he uses to engage with his students both in and out of the classroom.
