Why did the University of Wisconsin-Madison join the CIRTL Network?

The University of Wisconsin–Madison (UW) was one of the three initial partner universities in CIRTL, along with the Michigan State University (MSU), and the Pennsylvania State University (PSU). Together, teams from each of these three universities developed, implemented, evaluated, and institutionalized a prototype CIRTL learning community at UW in the form of the Delta Program in Research, Teaching and Learning (www.delta.wisc.edu -- hereafter referred to as “Delta” or “the Delta Program”). With its institutionalization, the Delta Program continues to provide a rich range of professional development activities in teaching and learning for graduates-through-faculty at UW.
